Steel coils are a common steel product that can be divided into different types according to different classification methods.
1. Classification by material
Low carbon steel coil: Low carbon steel coil has lower carbon content and lower strength, but has better plasticity and toughness. It is mainly used in construction, manufacturing bolts, nuts, etc.
High carbon steel coils: High carbon steel coils have higher carbon content and higher strength, but poor plasticity and toughness. They are mainly used for manufacturing tools, knives, etc.
Alloy steel coil: Alloy steel coil is made by adding alloy elements, such as manganese, silicon, chromium, etc. to steel to enhance its strength, hardness, corrosion resistance, etc. It is mainly used to manufacture high-strength parts, tools, etc.
2. Classification by surface treatment
Hot-rolled steel coil: Hot-rolled steel coil is a steel coil produced by hot rolling process. The surface is covered with iron oxide scale and has good corrosion resistance.
Cold-rolled steel coil: Cold-rolled steel coil is a steel coil produced by cold rolling process. It has a smooth and flat surface, and has good aesthetics and anti-corrosion properties.
Galvanized steel coil: Galvanized steel coil is coated with a layer of zinc on the surface of the steel coil. It has good anti-corrosion performance and aesthetics. It is mainly used in construction, home appliances and other fields.
Color-coated steel coils: Color-coated steel coils are coated with a layer of color paint on the surface of steel coils. They have good decorative properties and anti-corrosion properties. They are mainly used in construction, home furnishing and other fields.
3. Classification by production process
Hot-rolled steel coil: Hot-rolled steel coil is a steel coil produced by high-temperature rolling, and its surface is covered with iron oxide scale.
Cold-rolled steel coil: Cold-rolled steel coil is a steel coil produced by low-temperature rolling with a smooth and flat surface.
Coated steel coils: Coated steel coils are coated with one or more layers of paint or other materials on the surface of the steel coil to enhance its corrosion resistance, aesthetics and other properties.
Coated steel coils: Coated steel coils are coated with a plastic film or other material film on the surface of the steel coil to enhance its anti-corrosion performance and aesthetic properties.
